Matt here and I am the new blogger for the offside.com and I’m writing all about the mighty Clarets.

We are currently 3 months away from the end of the season in 8th place and only 2 points away from the play-off places. Burnley have had such a good season so far and most Claret fans are dreaming of days in the premiership. Talking about the premiership, Burnley have took out 3 top-flight teams (Fulham, Chelsea and Arsenal). Also Tottenham slaughtered us at White Hart Lane in the Carling Cup Semi-Final beating us 4-1 after Martin Paterson opened the scoring. At Turf Moor, we had to beat them 3-0 at full time and survive extra time on the same score for the away goal. We made it to full time. 28 minutes later the Clarets were broken down. Two goals sealed Tottenham’s place in the final. TWO GOD DAMNED MINUTES! WHY BURNLEY WHY So nearly at Wembley.

We now have to concentrate on the league and new loan signing Rhys Williams is looking forward to the Clarets progressing to the Premiership. On the 3rd of February, Burnley look to take another premiership team out of the FA cup this time. West Brom are the visitors after a 2-2 draw at the Hawthorns.

Owen Coyle has shown what a good manager he really is and he has done brilliant with the signings and team choices. Coyle was not a very well known manager but Burnley signed him after Steve Cotterill left. Coyle has been with us for a year after signing from St. Johnstone and has made a very good impression of all of the Burnley fans.
